VP Abdelbagi, UNICEF Discuss Health, Education And Ebola Preparedness

<p >Vice President for the Service Cluster, Hussein Abdelbagi Akol, has convened talks with a UNICEF delegation led by the UNICEF Country Representative in South Sudan, Noel Skinner, focusing on strengthening collaboration in the health and education sectors. During the meeting, UNICEF briefed the Vice President on ongoing programmes supporting health and education, with particular attention to improving the welfare of vulnerable children across the country. The discussions also addressed preparedness and preventive measures against a possible Ebola outbreak in South Sudan, emphasizing coordinated efforts to strengthen disease surveillance, public awareness, and emergency response mechanisms. Through his Press Secretary, Vice President Abdelbagi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining a peaceful and secure environment to enable humanitarian organizations to deliver essential services. <o:p></o:p></p>
