The Minister of Finance and Planning, Kuol Daniel Ayulo, has tabled a proposed 11.34 trillion South Sudanese pounds resource envelope for the 2026-2027 financial year before the Transitional National Legislature chaired by the Speaker Joseph Ngere Paciko. The budget, presented for first reading, includes the Draft Budget, Finance Bill and Appropriation Bill, indicates the need to diversity the national economy for sustainable peace. Oil revenue is projected at 9.01 trillion South Sudanese pounds, while non-oil revenue is estimated at 2.32 trillion South Sudanese pounds.
