<p >At the parliament, where parliamentary sitting chaired by<b> </b>the Speaker, Joseph Ngere Paciko, considered a proposed Draft National Holidays Bill 2026, following gaps in public holiday provisions.<o:p></o:p></p><p> </p><p > In his submission statement, the Chairperson of the parliamentary committee   on Legislation and Legal Affairs, Deng Tiel Ayuen says the Draft Bill is a personal initiative with implications for the national and state governments, describing the document as routine Bill to be discussed in the Transitional National Legislature. The nature of the draft document determines the number of days allocated for both public and religious institutions.<b><o:p></o:p></b></p>
