<p >The National Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, in collaboration with the University of Juba officially launched a two-day online programme to draft a regulatory framework for online higher education program in South Sudan. The programme aims to improve the quality of higher education by developing clear standards for online learning across universities and colleges in the country. Participants were encouraged to focus on students' learning outcomes and ensure that online education meets national and international quality standards.<b> </b>The National Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Changkuoth Bichiok Reth, said online learning offers an opportunity to expand access to higher education, strengthen digital and economic skills, promote the effective use of technology, and support sustainable and inclusive development. He added that a strong regulatory framework would help ensure equitable access to quality education for all South Sudanese students. The Vice Chancellor of the University of Juba, Professor John Akec, says the program would strengthen participants' knowledge and skills in information and communication technology (ICT) and artificial intelligence (AI). <b><o:p></o:p></b></p>
