Discussing Ebola Preparedness And Humanitarian Response

<p >The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Albino Akol Atak has convened  discussions with the  United States Ambassador to South Sudan Michael J. Adler on the country's preparedness and response to the Ebola outbreak in the neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as the evolving humanitarian situation ahead of the December 2026 General Elections. The discussions focused on strengthening emergency preparedness, enhancing coordination among humanitarian partners, and reinforcing measures to prevent the cross-border spread of Ebola into South Sudan.<o:p></o:p></p><p> </p><p >The two officials explored ways to mobilize additional resources to support internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, refugees, and other vulnerable communities affected by ongoing humanitarian challenges across the country.<o:p></o:p></p>
