Nat’l Cyber Security Task Force Launched To Combat Online Threats

<p >The National Cyber Security Task Force has  convened to foster efforts aimed at implementing  the <b>Cyber </b>Crime and Computer Misuse Act 2026, towards strengthening the country’s digital security framework. The task force, established following a directive from President Salva Kiir, focuses on tackling cybercrime, protecting national security, and promoting responsible use of digital platforms. <o:p></o:p></p><p >In a media statement, the Minister of Information, Communication Technology and Postal Services, Ateny Wek Ateny, says the formation comes at a critical time as the country prepares for elections, with a focus on countering online threats, cyberbullying, and misuse of social media which continue to fuel social divisions. <o:p></o:p></p><p >The task force is chaired by the Deputy Director General of the Internal Security Bureau, Lieutenant General Napoleon Adok Gai.<o:p></o:p></p><p> </p><p > </p>
