Ppc endorses election code of conduct, deploys regional election officials.

<p >The Political Parties Council (PPC) has officially endorsed the Election Code of Conduct for all registered political parties in South Sudan and approved the deployment of state and administrative area coordinators and inspectors to strengthen electoral oversight nationwide. Speaking after a plenary session in Juba, PPC Chairperson James Akol Zakayo said the Code of Conduct is designed to promote peaceful political engagement, democratic integrity, gender inclusion, and prohibit intimidation, hate speech, and the use of weapons. <o:p></o:p></p><p >The Council also reminded political groups that the registration deadline remains June 30, 2026, warning that parties that fail to register and comply with the Code of Conduct will not qualify to participate in the December 2026 general elections.<o:p></o:p></p><p > </p><p> </p><p >PPC acknowledged the support of United Nations Mission in South Sudan and other stakeholders in advancing the country’s democratic transition.<o:p></o:p></p>
