SPLM COMMITS TO PEACEFUL DECEMBER ELECTIONS, IGAD PLEDGES SUPPORT

<p >At the SPLM headquarters, where the<b> </b>SPLM Secretary General, Dr. Akol Paul Kordit, has reaffirmed the party's commitment to peaceful elections in December. He made the statement following his meeting with the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Special Envoy to South Sudan, Moussa Djama Ali, which focused on the country's upcoming elections at the conclusion of the transitional period. During the discussion, IGAD pledges its support to help South Sudan end the transitional government through credible elections. <o:p></o:p></p><p> </p><p >Dr. Akol, reiterated the SPLM's dedication to ensuring the December polls are conducted peacefully, signalling growing political will to stick to the revised roadmap.<o:p></o:p></p>
