<p >The Political Parties Council, in collaboration with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), has launched a five-day training program aimed at enhancing political processes, improving service delivery, and promoting peaceful democratic engagement ahead of the general elections. The programme has brought together representatives from registered political parties across the country to strengthen their preparedness for the upcoming polls. The Chairperson of the Political Parties Council, James Akol Zakayo, calls for unity and cooperation among political parties. He also directed all registered political parties to submit their financial statements to the Council before July. A representative from the UNMISS Political Affairs Division, Grace Maina, reaffirms the Mission's commitment to supporting political parties as South Sudan prepares for elections.<o:p></o:p></p><p> </p><p > The training will also focus on voter registration systems, conflict resolution mechanisms, and digital operational skills.<o:p></o:p></p>
