The SPLM 3rd Deputy chairperson, Simon Kun Poch, accompanied by the SPLM Secretary General, Dr. Akol Paul Kordit, convened with SPLM cadres from Lakes State who presented gifts of appreciation following the appointment of the Secretary General by SPLM Chairman and President Salva Kiir Mayardit. Speaking during the event, Simon Kun Poch conveyed the Chairman's acceptance of the gift on behalf of President Salva Kiir Mayardit. Representing the Lakes State SPLM cadres, Dr. Matur Ater expressed gratitude to the President for accepting their gifts and reaffirmed the cadres' commitment to the SPLM leadership.
In a separate meeting, SPLM Secretary General Dr. Akol Paul Kordit met with the Governor of Upper Nile State, Koang Chuol Ranley, to discuss strategies and preparations for upcoming SPLM activities in the state. The discussions focused on laying the groundwork for the SPLM leadership's planned visit to Upper Nile State ahead of the country's general elections.
