CES AUTHORITIES PASS FINANCE MEMOS ON BUSINESS LICENCES AND LAND LEASES

Central Equatoria authorities have passed finance memos on business operating licence regulations and the centralisation of land lease and contract management, in a move aimed at strengthening state revenue and improving governance. The meeting chaired by the Caretaker Governor, Augustino Jadalla, also deliberated on a memo presented by the Caretaker Minister of Finance, Planning and Investment concerning the 2026 State Operations Licence Regulations for the Directorate of Trade and Industry, alongside a proposal on the centralisation of land lease and contract management. The meeting also received a security briefing from the Caretaker Minister of the State Ministry of Local Government and Law Enforcement, who reported that the general security situation across Central Equatoria State remains calm and normal, despite isolated incidents.
