Minister Rizik says the Civil Defence Service plays a vital role in protecting civilians, government installations and property, pledging to improve its operational capacity. Deputy Caretaker Minister David Marial Gumke highlights transport and uniform shortages, while Police Inspector General, Gen. Said Chawul Lom calls for stronger coordination among institutions under the Ministry of Interior.Civil Defence Commissioner General Dr. Rodden Loro Karlo says the force is prepared to support security during the upcoming general elections, despite challenges including shortages of firefighting equipment, uniforms and mobility.
