The Vice President for the Infrastructure Cluster Taban Deng Gai, pledging to join efforts aimed at strengthening the agricultural sector and supporting farmers across South Sudan through provision of quality seeds and constructing roads that connect farming areas to Juba, enabling farmers to transport their produce more easily to markets.Gai made assurances in a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and food security, Clement Juma, on addressing key challenges facing farmers, including limited funding, inadequate infrastructure, shortages of agricultural inputs and equipment, as well as the impacts of floods and droughts. Discussions called for greater support to address these constraints and promote agricultural development nationwide. Minister Juma emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to improve agricultural productivity and farmers’ livelihoods.
