Gov’t, Partners Distribute Food &School Materials To Mangateen IDPs On World Humanitarian Day

A delegation from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and the Achol Philip Foundation has distributed food and school materials to Mangateen Academy Primary School in the Mangateen IDPs camp in Juba. The initiative is being carried out in solidarity with displaced people as the world marks World Humanitarian Day on August 19 every year.

Bateah Kuol Gatkuoth, Assistant Inspector of Human Resources Development at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, said the Ministry has assessed the humanitarian situation in the camp. For her part, Piath Marco Chol, Director General of the Achol Philip Foundation, said the initiative targets 200 displaced persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.
