<p >President Kiir has once again instructed finance leaders to prioritize national economic revival, as he receives updates from the government delegation to Washington on the 2026 IMF–World Bank Spring Meetings. The discussions emphasized accelerating economic reforms and mobilizing financial support for South Sudan. <o:p></o:p></p><p ><b>In other news,</b> the President, in a series of meetings with Upper Nile State Governor Jacob Dollar and Collo King, says that peace must prevail across Upper Nile State. <o:p></o:p></p><p >Governor Dollar has informed the head of state about the improved security situation, noting that locals have resumed farming, while schools and healthcare facilities are now fully operational across Nasir County.<o:p></o:p></p><p >Moreover, Collo King Kwongo Dak Padiet has expressed unwavering support for the president’s efforts to unite the country ahead of the December 2026 elections. <o:p></o:p></p><p> </p><p >He also stated that he will return to Malakal to participate in peacebuilding programmes and mobilize communities for cultivation and the upcoming polls.<o:p></o:p></p>
