Abyei Authorities Encourage Unity And Election Preparedness

<p >The Abyei Administrative Area calls  on its citizens to remain united and actively prepare for the country's forthcoming general elections. The appeal was made during a community briefing organized by civil society organizations at the Abyei Community House in Juba. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Administrator of the Abyei Special Administrative Area, Judge Charles Abyei, briefs residents on the security and social situation in the area and urges citizens to work together for peace, stability and development. He also encourages the people of Abyei to organize themselves for the upcoming elections, describing participation in the electoral process as a constitutional right.<b> </b>Participants emphasize the importance of unity, civic engagement and peaceful participation as South Sudan prepares for the December general elections.<b><o:p></o:p></b></p>
