<p >The Ministerial High-Level Committee on Economic Reform has convened with Managing Directors of Commercial Banks, management of Crawford capital pay, Bank of South Sudan Bank Governor and Commissioner General of South Sudan Revenue Authority to discuss ways of improving the payment system. In his statement to the media after the meeting, the Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development, Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, who is acting as secretary for the Committee, says the meeting has resolved to lift the current limit on withdrawal and deposit of South Sudanese Pounds. The Committee, according to Gatkuoth, also resolved that tax payers should pay their taxes to South Sudan Revenue Authority [SSRA] in cash to address the rising liquidity issues at the Bank of South Sudan. <o:p></o:p></p><p> The Committee emphasized that the digitalization process championed by Crawford Capital Pay will continue as part of modernizing the tax payment and transformation system. Minister Ezekiel is being also tasked by the Committee to lead a sub-committee to continue reviewing implementation mechanism including recapitalization of the Bank of South Sudan, improve the banking system and maximize revenue collection to ensure timely payment of public servant’s salaries. </p>
