First Lady Returns To Juba After Promoting Agriculture In Akon, Warrap State

<p >The First Lady, Mama Mary Ayen Mayardit, has returned to Juba following a visit to Akon in Warrap State, where she promoted agriculture and encouraged communities to increase food production during the current rainy season. She was received at Juba International Airport by women leaders, the Minister of Youth and Sports Atong Kuol Manyang Juuk, Presidential Private Secretary Akol Santo Arech, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Concern for Women and Children Josephine Napwon Cosmos, and other senior officials.<o:p></o:p></p><p > </p><p> </p><p >From the airport, the First Lady proceeded to the Presidential Residence, where she was accorded an official welcome. During her visit to Akon, Mama Mary Ayen Mayardit participated in farming activities and met with local communities to discuss their agricultural challenges. She encouraged residents to embrace farming and establish community farms as a way of boosting food production and strengthening food security across the country. Her spokesperson, Aliai Achuil, explained the outcomes of the visit.<o:p></o:p></p>
