AU PEACE AND SECURITY COUNCIL REAFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR SOUTH SUDAN’S TRANSITION PROCESS

<p >The African Union Peace and Security Council has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting South Sudan’s ongoing transition process following a working visit led by the Ethiopian Permanent Representative to the African Union.<o:p></o:p></p><p data-start="356" data-end="630" >Ambassador Hirut Zemene Kassa, who headed the delegation, made the remarks on Friday at the conclusion of the visit. She has said the mission aimed to assess the situation on the ground and engage with key stakeholders on the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement.<o:p></o:p></p><p ><br>The visit underscores the African Union’s continued commitment to peace and stability in South Sudan, with a focus on ensuring progress in the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement through direct engagement with national stakeholders.<o:p></o:p></p>
