Gov’t, World Bank Launch Treasury Single Account Reform Awareness Drive

The Ministry of Finance and Planning, in partnership with the World Bank Group, has conducted a one-day awareness and sensitization programme on the Treasury Single Account (TSA) for senior government officials and key stakeholders in Juba. The programme aims to strengthen public financial management by promoting a unified system for managing government revenues and expenditures. Addressing participants, the First Undersecretary at the Ministry of Finance and Planning, Malual Tap Diu, said the Treasury Single Account initiative will enhance financial management by improving transparency, accountability, and the efficient use of public resources across government institutions. Representing the World Bank Group, David Santos said the project will support the Ministry of Finance with the necessary equipment and technical assistance to effectively manage the Treasury Single Account system, adding that the initiative improves oversight of government finances and facilitate the secure sharing of bank statements among financial institutions and development partners.
