WES Governor Opens Fiscal Oversight Training For Legislators

<p >The Governor of Western Equatoria State, Badagbu Daniel Rimbasa, has officially opened a three-day fiscal oversight training for members of the Transitional State Legislative Assembly in Yambio. The training, supported by the State Government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), aims to strengthen parliamentary oversight and improve public financial management. Governor Rimbasa says the programme will equip legislators with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively oversee government resources, budgeting, and public expenditure. <o:p></o:p></p><p >Speaker of the Transitional State Legislative Assembly, Ann Tuna Richard, welcomes the initiative, describing it as an important step in enhancing the Assembly's oversight capacity. <o:p></o:p></p><p> </p><p >UNDP Economic Governance Analyst for the Eastern Equatoria Region, Joyce Makuei, commends the State Government and UNDP for supporting institutional accountability and good governance. <o:p></o:p></p>
