Rumbek Authorities Call For Greater Investment In Health & Education

<p >The Governor of Lakes State, Madhang Majok Meen, urges donors and peacebuilding partners to expand their support to include health, education, and food security Programmes that directly benefit local communities. The appeal comes during a visit by representatives of development partners implementing peacebuilding initiatives in the state.  The State Minister of Information and Communication, Paul Cabiet Ayang, expresses the government's appreciation for the collaboration demonstrated by donors and peace partners, noting that such partnerships contribute significantly to lasting peace and stability. The Representative of the Swiss Cooperation Office, Agau Bul Deng, says the visit aimed to monitor, evaluate, and assess the progress of an eighteen-month peacebuilding project currently being implemented in Lakes and Warrap states through Peace Canal and TOCH initiatives.<o:p></o:p></p>
