Following The Conclusion of South Sudan Agriculture Conference last month, The National Minister Of Agriculture and Food Security Hon. Clement Juma paid a courtesy visit to Governor Emmanuel Adil to discuss collective efforts in reinforcing the implementations of key outcomes of the South Sudan Agriculture conference 2026. The two leaders emphasized on key resolution of empowering farmers in order to transition from ssubsistence farming to commercial farming, unlocking private sector investment, and adopting climate-smart agricultural technologies to reduce the country's reliance on food import. Furthermore, the Governor and the Minister stressed the importance of strengthening security within the State for farmers to access their farmlands in rural areas as they both reaffirmed commitments to hold multi-sectoral meetings including security institutions within the Government in order to address issues of inseecurity.The meeting concluded with a call for the people to massively engage in agriculture so as to eradicate food insecurity, accelerate economic diversification, and create employment opportunities.
