MEDIA-SECURITY COOPERATION TALKS CLOSE, WITH ASSURANCES ON ETHICAL INFORMATION SHARING

<p >The Media-security cooperation talks organized by the<b> </b>Ministry of Information, Communication and Postal Services, have been concluded with assurances on ethical information sharing<b>. </b>Participants on the final day discussed prospects of consolidating the principles of cooperation between the various security units and media outlets, in disseminating and providing accurate information as opposed to misleading information. During the conclusion, the Information Undersecretary, Arok Dut, pointed out the importance of the programme in shaping communities.  The SSPDF spokesperson major general Lul Ruai, expressed the joint cooperation between the various security agencies and journalists in promoting the dissemination of correct information and following the correct legal steps. Participants in the training program for media forum from the three administrative regions, along with representatives from Jonglei, Equatoria and Unity states, expressed the importance of mutual coordination between security units and working towards a common goal in serving citizens by providing and disseminating accurate information, despite the challenges facing the work of the press.<o:p></o:p></p>
