SSPDF CHIEF STEPS UP SECURITY MEASURES AHEAD OF 16 MAY, BANS FIRING

<p >The Chief of South Sudan People's Defense Forces, General Santino Deng Wol directed the forces protecting and securing the 43rd anniversary celebrations of the founding of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/A) on May 16th to ensure the security of the celebrations and to refrain from firing live ammunition during the festivities and he reiterates the South Sudan People's Defense Forces' commitment to fulfilling its mandate to protect the homeland and its achievements. He made the remark while addressing a general parade at SSPDF tiger division in Juba on Thursday, calling on security forces to provide the necessary protection for the city of Juba and stressing the need for celebrations to take place in an atmosphere of security and stability.<o:p></o:p></p>
