South Sudan and the UN have discussed humanitarian support and EBOLA preparedness following a meeting between the Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Philip Jada Natana and the United Nations Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Ramanathan Balakrishnan, on advancing cooperation between South Sudan and the UN. The talks focused on strengthening humanitarian assistance and preparedness against Ebola. Ambassador Jada welcomed the UN official and appreciated the organisation’s continued support and cooperation with South Sudan.
